On Monday 19th April we began interviewing our cohort of young poets for a second time. It is wonderful to be reconnecting with them and to hear how their poetry and their lives have moved on since we last spoke in Spring 2020. It is already evident that the pandemic is continuing to have so many different impacts but that poetry appears to remain an important element of their creative experience and a significant means of reflection in this challenging period.
We are extremely grateful to the poets for their time, for sharing new work in progress and for their very varied perspectives. The Young Poets’ Stories research team is committed to supporting young poets through our work and we are looking forward to sharing our findings publicly in various ways from Autumn 2021.
